A hydraulic system allows for separate control of the distribution fan and the ground wheel. Power is obtained from a power take off mounted hydraulic pump. Distribution rate settings range from one pound per tree to two tons per acre. Twin gates allow spreading to one or both sides.  Fan motor brackets are adjustable for either level or bedded groves.  Fan speed adjusts from 0 o 900 rpm.  We build a small tree attachment.  Weight boxes and scales are furnished with each unit.  All spreader hoppers are made of 10 gauge steel. Top crowns are open for easy cleaning. Side rails and frames are 1/4" steel and are formed from one solid piece. Conveyor bottoms are made from 3/16" steel and are bolted in place. Conveyor chains are of the flight bar type and use pintle chain. Pull spreaders come with a choice of 16 inch or 20 inch wheels. It is equipped with pushbutton or toggle switch controls and material output is adjustable from 1/2 lb. to 5 lbs. per tree. Cox.   Paul and his wife Hope came to Lake County in 1953. Soon after their arrival, Paul began working as a shop foreman for Meincke Spreader in Tavares. During his 25 years with Meincke, Paul became thoroughly familiar with the design and manufacture of dry fertilizer spreaders. In 1978, when he began building his own spreader, his knowledge and experience enabled him to develop a spreader that was designed to satisfy the needs of his customers as well as being designed to last and last and last.   In the "age of the throwaway", Paul's unique design coupled with his standardization of components enabled his spreader to be rebuilt and rebuilt and rebuilt.   Paul died in 1991, but his widow entrusted James L.
